Based on 45% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 15% Mataro, and 5% Roussanne, the 2023 James Berry Vineyard offers rocking levels of ripe red, blue, and black fruits, peppery herbs, crushed stone, graphite, and violets. It's full-bodied and complex, with a rich, powerful palate, pure, polished tannins, no hard edges, and a gorgeous finish. Aged 18 months in mostly new and neutral French oak, this absolutely brilliant GSM blend (or close) from Paso should not be missed. I love it today, yet it should have 15 years of prime drinking.
