The 2021 Syrah Estate Blend is just slightly darker than the Grenache and checks in as 80% Syrah, 10% Grenache, 7% Cinsault, and 3% Roussanne that saw 60% whole clusters and 20 months in new and used French and Hungarian oak. Smoky blackberry fruits, violets, ground pepper, bacon fat, and rose petal notes all give this a decidedly Côte Rôtie-like style, and it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a supple, elegant mouthfeel, lots of tannins, and a gorgeous finish.
